  9. SOUTHWEST LAND TITLE CO. PROCESSES $1 BILLION
  10. OF REAL ESTATE USING EXPERT TITLE

  12. DALLAS, Texas   November 22, 1994   Southwest Land Title Co. and Tensor
  13. Information Systems, Inc., today announced that over $1 billion dollars of
  14. real estate transactions and 150,000 documents have been processed using
  15. the Expert Title Applications, while doubling employee productivity in
  16. major processing areas.  Expert Title consists of seven custom NEXTSTEP
  17. applications designed to operate as an integrated Title Insurance and
  18. Escrow Services solution.  The Southwest system was designed and
  19. implemented by Tensor, a Next Object Channel Partner.

  21. Expert Title is a document processing and workflow management toolset used
  22. for preparing real estate closing documents.  The applications contain
  23. over 100 documents consisting of promulgated forms, policies,
  24. endorsements, binders, real estate transaction documents and other related
  25. forms.  In addition to the existing documents, custom documents may be
  26. added as needed.  All documents are WYSIWYG and share common information
  27. from the database to virtually eliminate repetitive data entry thus
  28. offering substantial savings.  The legal documents support drag and drop
  29. of standardized legal paragraphs and the forms support electronic notes.
  30. The underlying structures to the documents support EDI and the Expert
  31. Title system will support EDI as the specifications for title insurance
  32. are released.

  34. The Expert Title system contains an integrated disbursement system for
  35. managing escrow accounts from the settlement statements using both
  36. automatic and manual receipts and disbursements.   Disbursements are
  37. handled for multiple bank accounts and multiple branch offices.  The
  38. checks are encoded with the proper MICR and bank information when printed,
  39. and use customizable blank check stock for a significant cost savings.

  48. exceeded the commercially available title and escrow software products, as
  49. well as our expectations of what computers could accomplish in
  50. streamlining our operations and dramatically increasing the productivity
  51. of our personnel."

  56. implementation."  Coding for the project began in May of 1993 with the
  57. first Expert Title application deployed in October 1993, just five months
  58. after the project commencement.  Since October 1993, six additional custom
  59. applications have been delivered.
